Tourism: A Gateway to the Province and the Community

As a part of our partnership with the province, motorists can find staffed Ontario Tourism Information Centres located at ONroute Tilbury South and ONroute Bainsville. These centres are the gateways to the Highway 401 corridor from east and west.

Now open, all ONroute Centres feature self-serve provincial stations stocked with news and brochures about the surrounding local community.

Fuel

Canadian Tire operates a full service fuel station with an adjacent Canadian Tire convenience store at each ONroute Centre. The fuel campus features a full complement of pumps for both motorists and commercial vehicles, making it easy to pull up, fill up and go.

WiFi: Keeping Travellers Connected

Need to check e-mail or download a file? Either task is easy when you stop at an ONroute Centre and log on to our WiFi connection. The ONroute Centres offer a free wireless connection for your first 60 minutes of time. Grab a cup of coffee or a sandwich and log on to your computer – directions for how to get connected are posted in each Centre.

Washrooms, Pet Areas, and Seasonal Picnic Opportunities

Families and friends alike will find new, state-of-the-art washrooms featuring touchless and water-saving fixtures. Pets are part of the family too, so ONroute Centres feature designated pet rest and exercise areas. When the weather is nice, who doesn’t like a bit of fresh air? Outdoor dining and picnic areas have been designed to maximize the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors during the warmer seasons.

Navigate the Parking Lot with Ease

Just as it’s important for cars and commercial vehicles to share the road, so too, it’s important to share the service centre parking lot. At ONroute Centres, separate parking areas have been designed to accommodate automobiles and trucks as well as transport and recreational vehicles. Just look for the signs and pull into your spot.

Wellington Standards Accessibility

Each ONroute Centre is designed to the highest standards of accessibility—meeting standards established in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and also achieving the Wellington Standards established in 2009.

Features include tactile pictograms at the entrance to and inside the washrooms; a family/companion washroom with an automatic door opener and adult-sized changing tables; and wide entrances without doors to access to women’s and men’s washrooms.

Signage and wayfinding includes raised letters using a sans serif font and Braille as necessary. Curb ramps on the building pad are at all main entries to the building and an accessible public telephone with TTY features is also available.

We designed the ONroute Centres to be visually inspiring and welcoming to Ontario travellers. RV Waste Disposal

State-of-the-art, self-contained RVs and motorhomes require regular disposal of wastewater tanks. RV Dump stations are located at the ONroute Centres in Dutton and West Lorne.

French Language Compliance

The ONroute Centres in Bainsville, Morrisburg, Tilbury North and Tilbury South feature bilingual wayfinding signs and menu boards.
