Accessibility

AODA and Wellington Standards

Each ONroute Service Centre is designed to the highest standards of accessibility—meeting standards established in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and also achieving the Wellington Standards established in 2009.

Features

Features include tactile pictograms at the entrance to and inside the washrooms; a family/companion washroom with an automatic door opener and adult-sized changing tables; and wide entrances without doors to access to women’s and men’s washrooms.

Wayfinding

Signage and wayfinding includes raised letters using a sans serif font and Braille as necessary. Curb ramps on the building pad are at all main entries to the building and an accessible public telephone with TTY features is also available.

Gas+ Fueling Disability Assistance Program

Canadian Tire offers a Disability Assistance Program at our retail fuel locations which includes the ONroute Service Centres. As all of the ONroute locations are open 24hrs, we want to ensure that all customers can fuel up at any time throughout the day. These locations offer full serve to all customers between the hours of 7am and 10pm, 7 days a week.

During non-full serve hours (10pm – 7am), sufficient lead time is required to allow the retail gas location to coordinate additional staff to both meet the needs of the customer while at the same time, ensuring that all safety and security protocols are adhered to. Customers who require fuelling assistance between the hours of 10pm and 7am will need to contact their preferred ONroute retail gas location directly to set up an appointment. We ask that you contact the site three hours prior to your arrival to ensure appropriate site staffing is coordinated. Please refer to the locations page for contact information.

Those customers using our Disability Assistance Program will be charged the self-serve price for their fuel.
