Today, ONroute has confirmed that one employee at its Cambridge South plaza has 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Out of extreme precaution, ONroute has temporarily closed our Cambridge South plaza while we complete a thorough cleaning and sanitization of the facility.‍ The individual last worked on Friday January 15th.

ONroute Service Centres (ONroute) proudly presented Support Our Troops with a $48,723 donation today following a month-long fundraising campaign honouring Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) serving members, veterans and their families. Customers visiting any of ONroute’s 23 locations between November 1st and 30th were invited to donate one dollar to Support Our Troops and their programs that support military members, the ill and injured, and contribute to empowering family resiliency.

ONroute has confirmed additional cases of COVID-19 among Tim Hortons staff at our King City plaza. After seeking guidance from York Regional Health and out of extreme precaution, the Tim Hortons at King City is open for drive thru only at this time. The rest of the plaza remains fully operational.

There was an incident at our Woodstock plaza late last night in which a traveller was involved in a vehicle fire on the parking lot. ONroute offers its sincere concern for all involved, including the individual, our employees and other travellers who may have witnessed the tragic incident and we are ensuring our employees receive the support they need.

ONroute Service Centres (ONroute) has partnered with Support Our Troops for a month-long initiative in November where all 23 locations will participate in asking customers to consider making a $1 donation to Support Our Troops with each transaction.

This Halloween, we know that many families are looking for a fun alternative to traditional trick-or-treating events. ONroute is proud to offer kids an opportunity to participate in the spirit of Halloween and get a sweet treat, and show off their costume if they choose!

We’re excited to announce that Subways are officially open at select ONroute locations. Our customers are now able to enjoy this popular, well-loved food option at our Trenton South, Cambridge North, Mallorytown North, Woodstock and Ingersoll plazas.

Updated September 8 at 8:30 AM: ONroute reopened the King City plaza this morning after a temporary closure to complete a thorough sanitization of the facility. All food and services are now available, however Tim Hortons will be DRIVE-THRU ONLY for at least today. We closed the plaza and completed our cleaning protocols overnight on September 8, following confirmation of a positive case of COVID-19 on our team. All 23 plazas are now open providing 24/7 access to washrooms, fuel, and food/beverage via take-out, grab and go, and drive-thru services.

On Friday August 7th, ONroute staff at the Cambridge South Plaza had the pleasure of being joined by Cambridge Mayor Kathryn McGarry to celebrate the opening of their new Starbucks. On Tuesday August 18th, Cambridge MP Bryan May also visited the plaza to congratulate the team and take a tour of the new location.

Our Tilbury North and South plazas will require face coverings upon entrance as of Friday, August 14. This means that all 23 ONroute plazas now require all customers and employees to wear face coverings in accordance with various bylaws and regional health department orders.

Since April 15 and through to Canada Day, July 1, we’re offering a free medium coffee/beverage to truck drivers at all 23 of our plazas. Our “Keep ON Trucking!” initiative is our small way of showing appreciation for truckers and their tireless efforts to maintain the provincial and national supply chain during COVID-19 and to keep Ontario moving.

We’re excited to announce that Subway will be coming to ONroute plazas this summer throughout the month of July. Customers can expect to enjoy this new, healthy food option at seven of our plazas, including Trenton South, Mallorytown North, King City, Innisfil, Cambridge North, Woodstock, and Ingersoll.
